There is a guy here in Tucson Az that claims to be the highest ranked Ninja in the Bujinkan. His name is Prather. How are we supposed to verify if this is true or not?

I want to focus on the spiritual and unarmed weapon combat side of Ninjutsu

I think Ninjutsu is so complex with vsrious techniques to study that a belt ranking system does not hold the same weight like in karate or taekwondo. Measure your own skill set and what you can do. Be the best version of yourslef in the arts!

Can’t believe i used to buy into this scam. Any true leader would have put much more thought and care into the leadership handoff for the future preservation of the art but Hatsumi the scam artist that he is just whored it out for his own profit and now it shall go in a thousand different directions until it finally dies. I'm getting curious about ninjutsu again after thirty years of being away from it. Can you tell me what happened to Stephen Hayes? It was his books which introduced me to Hatsumi Sensei. Thanks - and best of luck carried it forward.

Covid was a blessing in disguise for ninjutsu. I know several combat sports athletes that reevaluated their reason for training, and see bujunkan from a different POV. Your art teaches many body mechanics that carry over to life in unexpected ways, and mastering different weapons has so many coordination benefits

I would love to train again, but the bujinkan in DC os absolute crap, in comparison to when I was in japan They can’t get over themselves To them, this is an art that’s meant to be put on display like some exhibition, and not what it’s actually for
